Alpha and Omega Semiconductor offer eFuse products to combine the hot-swap controller and power MOSFET into a single package. eFuse features protection against over-current, over-voltage, in-rush current control, reverse current blocking, output short circuit, and over-temperature conditions. The eFuse can improve the system’s reliability by isolating the load from the main power rails in case of a fault condition. Target applications include servers, data storage, and networking systems.
